Senior Consultant, Data Governance - Asset Management
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Strong presentation and communication skills. Understand and be capable of effectively communicating the role of Data Governance to both business and technical communities.
- Solid understanding of Data Governance and how it can be applied to Data and Analytics. Good understanding of Data Quality and Data Management practices. Experience with data management and governance platforms (Collibra, Alation, IBM IGC etc.)
- Knowledge of Data Governance, Data Quality and Enterprise Data Management concepts (DAMA).
- Must have proven program management skills and a strategic mindset. Should be able to drive change in an organization.
- Understanding of the asset management business domains with the ability to determine the primary use cases for Data and Analytics.
- Experience with distributed data and analytics platforms in cloud and hybrid environments. Also an understanding of a variety of data access and analytic approaches.
- SQL or Python proficiency preferred.
- Strong persuasion skills, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs.
NECESSARY EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- 5-7 years of experience in data governance, management and quality for large organizations
- Experience in asset management/investment management is highly desired.
- Bachelors degree in field like Computer Science, Information technology, Math, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Finance (with focus on analysis) etc. and/or relevant proven work experience is required

- Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations. Be able to translate the requirements into functional deliverables and have the ability to create interim solutions in a longer roadmap
- Organizationally savvy, with a good understanding of the enterprise's political climate and how to navigate, influence and persuade political waters.
- Ability to communicate, influence and persuade peers and leadership.
