Skills
• Must possess a NL Depositary skill set and understanding of Fiduciary responsibilities.
• Good understanding of compliance and legal processes
• Good understanding of derivative products
• An excellent knowledge of financial services regulations originating in the EU, the US and globally;
• Effective verbal, presentation and written communications skills;
• Strong Microsoft Office capabilities;
• The ability to adapt to and fit in with the Northern Trust culture;
• A ‘can do’ attitude – including a willingness to tackle a broad range of work and to work enthusiastically within a team;
• The ability to work under pressure and to represent Northern Trust professionally and positively, both internally and externally.
• Personal confidence and flexibility to work in a “small business unit” and the flexibility to undertake the variety of tasks required to build out the proposition and win and support client mandates
Experience
• Strong track record and a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably in the asset management sector or with companies which are servicing the investment management sector;
• Preferably Degree (HBO/MBO+) education in Fund Administration, Compliance or (para-) legal within Financial Services;
• Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience as member of a Client Services team;
• Experience in operations oversight, conducting client and third party due diligence with the ability to produce clear and concise control reports;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and analytical approach;
• Knowledge of the regulatory requirements for Dutch funds;
• Knowledge of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) and/or the Undertakings for the Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS).
