The ideal candidate for this position is currently serving in a senior level operations/financial capacity at an alternatives investment firm. 
  • 10+ years of financial officer responsibilities with a solid understanding of alternatives accounting and systems issues. 
  • Strong US GAAP knowledge as it relates to private placements and ‘difficult to value’ assets 
  • Experienced in constructing financial statements for alternatives investment firms. 
  • Keen understanding of the dynamics and accounting issues of private funds managers in which the firm would invest, and the financial statements preparation of fund of funds. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the implementation of systems, design processes, and work with outside vendors to improve the reporting and communications of an investment fund. 
  • Very detail-oriented, well organized, and disciplined in approach 
  • Proven ability to multi-task within a large organization 
  • Keen understanding of the many legal and compliance issues associated with private placements 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and solid team player. 
  • Strong communication skills, both written and orally. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong leadership skills 
  • Excellent educational background. CPA highly desired 
  • Entrepreneurial drive/self-starter 
  • Experienced managing and leading a team of professionals 
  • High level of integrity and character that is likeable, and strives to share with the team in the successes of the group
